CAFÉ GONZÁLEZ
OUR STORY La Puerta Del Sol At the end of a lengthy voyage in the highland region of Huehuetenango, the reward is a grand cru coffee bean. Our coffee has been traditionally and sustainably cultivated by the same family for generations in the small village of Michicoy. The village, nestled in the mountains at 1600 meters above sea level, is also known as La puerta del sol (door to the Sun), and is reachable only by way of small, narrow dirt roads, sometimes inaccessible. The cultivation of beans at Finca El Mirador is one of tradition and pride. Staying true to heritage, the bean is prepared through a mix of delicate and rigorous labor - from coffee cherry picking, fermenting, washing, and sun drying the beans at the correct humidity - a quality bean is achieved. In the final step, Cafe Gonzalez meticulously roast these prized beans to ensure its unique notes and aroma can be appreciated in every cup.
Coffee Community Café González is committed to offer high quality coffee worldwide, while also being of service to Improve the lives of those dedicated to the coffee Community. For every coffee bag purchased, a 10% will be donated to this cause.
